A webseries Scam: hansal Mehta

An Indian film director and producer,hansal Mehta who is well known for his film making style, has made many films for the industry which includes Jayate(1999), Dil Pe Mat Le Yaar (2000),Chhal(2002), before that he started his walk of life with the Television shows like Khana – Khazana (1993-2000).The major focus of attention came on him when he Introduced the film (Shahid) in which the leading man was Rajkummar Rao.

After that he is all set to launch his new Webseries Scam 1992:- Harshad mehta’s Story on 9th of October 2020 on Sony Liv.The Webseries release date came into mention last Sunday on 25th,where Hansal sir shared the Teaser on Social media platform.The Webseries is Inspired from the Book,the scam:who lost,who won,who got away put down by Sucheta Dalal and her husband Debashis Basu.

Also film produced by Ajay Devgan,taken over by Abhishek Bacchan is also set to release this year which is also based on the same event.Film name is The big bull, directed by Kookie Gulati.

Speaking about the Webseries, Mehta Pursumedly executed a fraud of over 1000 crore from the Indian Banking System where he used to buy Shares from the Stock Exchange.The Scam done by Mehta Smashed the entire exchange system weak and which lead to the securities falling down.In this scam many investors lost their money.It affected lakhs of families in india.

When india had just started up the Equity market where Mehta took advantage of this system and made his holdings more Profitable.He used to promised the Indian banks higher intrest rate and then used to buy stocks from their money.

In 1992,Sucheta brought the Mehta scam in attention.She was fascinated by the magnificent lifestyle led by Mehta.She investigated the wealth of Mehta,from where he was generating all the Cash flows in the market.

Subsequently on 23rd April 1992 she exposed the scam to the media by publishing the news in the Times Media Column.
Sucheta also brought another shocking scams after that, i.e ketan parekh scam also including the enroll scam. She was also awarded with a Padma Shree Award in 2006.
