EDUCATIONAL CRITICS OF TODAY.

For more than a year, we’ve been dwelling around uncharted waters of COVID situation overall the World. 5 years ago, every interviewer who asked the question to the applicant that where do you see yourself after 5 years, might’ve got wrong answers. Previous year was all about how expectations lead to destruction and constant subsiding of plans.

We agree that to take up the reins of all the people was surely a tough task for the government and it’s representatives. We’ve been ferocious for the past time and faced mishaps like the thunder but it’s miserable to see the same situation prevailing again due to carelessness of people and lack of self awareness. If you think you can hide from a virus and get off with it, you are digging your own grave.

We see ‘morons’ of two kinds in this scenario; the ones who have experienced many covid cases in their family and have gotten very nonchalant about taking care and other ones who fortunately didn’t get their family members hospitalised due to covid but may be are waiting for that thing to happen.

Let’s assume there’s no such thing like the coronavirus, it’s just a made up mind-set. But things like Viral infection, respiratory problems, dengue, or infectious diseases etc,. They are prevalent right? Why don’t we take care of ourselves in a way to be safeguarded from mere infectious diseases? I understand, sometimes happenings are unintentional, but why are our actions on them not rational? We are suffering due to irresponsible citizens of our society, and individuals are suffering due to their own actions.

Moving further, in India I’ve never seen a single decision or announcement that didn’t have any arguments. Every decision or announcement ever made had a war of words but a few days ago the decision of not conducting or postponing exams had a very smooth flow throughout multimedia. A silent proclamation thanking the government and saying, “this is all that we wanted.”

Behind this decision there are various types of students ranging from those who were studying all day long for boards to those who didn’t get enough equipment to study. Here again fall two types of the students’ i.e Rich and poor or those with equipment but no willingness to study and other types without equipment but willingness to study.

The decision announced by the Education ministry was amazement. A treat for those who didn’t bother about studying and on the flip side a disappointment for those students who struggled hard to get through formulas and concepts and solved huge question sets. Everyone has different perceptions towards this but the thing that still surprises me is no one is against this decision. Why?

A huge group of people countrywide blames the education system for relevant reasons. In the beginning of 2020, we got the wind of the implementation of new Education policy that ignited glimmers of hope in us but, it has gotten behind the bars for a long time amidst COVID situations.

Lesson 101, Remember- DO NOT BLAME EDUCATION SYSTEM BECAUSE YOU CANNOT SCORE ENOUGH.

I am not making any conclusions about which type of education system is right or wrong but mental ageism is pervasive in our society. Mainly dogmatism, when one group says, “Present education system is bad” with their own reasons, another group with blindfolded eyes, agrees with them with their set of beliefs and this is how we see dogmatism settles its roots.

If the education system is bad, what stops you from studying/ doing what you love? What pulls you back to prove yourself? Why are we all dependent on the government to announce their decisions that are unacceptable at first place but we all follow it like blind herd of sheep?

Lesson 102, Remember- WE ARE GOVERNED BY THE TYPE OF GOVERNMENT WE DESERVE.

If I unite the world’s voice together, the truth is unless and until Coronavirus doesn’t get diminished completely, there would be no stability in the education sector or any other. In such circumstances, our foremost duty is to educate us by ourselves. COVID has indulged us much into how to make use of technology, gadgets, and how to make precise use of the internet. Problem is our inability to use it. And that inability is different at every level.

Lesson 103, Remember- BE THE MASTER OF THE CHANGE NOT A VICTIM OF THE CHANGE.

Regardless of COVID, if we take a deeper look and compare all the students countrywide, not everyone has a smartphone or proper guidance. I preach to the student protestors who had the banners stating “Shiksha online toh Pariksha offline kyu?” When you’ve a relevant question, you must also have an answer to it. If exams are supposed to be conducted online without cheating why don’t we build certain websites for that? You cheat once or twice but…. Lesson 104, Remember- A CHEAT ALWAYS REMAINS A CHEATER.

If the health of students is a major concern for the government, why don’t they settle new ways of conducting fair exams? Are we gonna have the same uncertainties in the education sector for the future? It’s not only the government who could do that but any intellectual person.

Such a huge pandemic that lasts for more than a year would leave back it’s impact for more than two times of it’s suffering.

Lesson 105, Remember- AWAKE AND REALISE, OR STAY BLINDFOLDED AND PERISH AS THIS IS THE RACE OF SURVIVAL OF FITTEST.
