10 years of One Direction.

One Direction!!!! we all are are huge fans of One Direction and guess what it’s been 10 years now they are entertaining us by their wonderful music. One Direction has fans all over the globe, these fans are very much connected to the band and why not they are just phenomenal when it comes to music. Each musician of the the band has received immense love by the millions of people all around the world. Ten years ago, The X Factor introduced the world to One Direction. All five members – Harry Styles, Liam Payne, Louis Tomlinson, Niall Horan and Zayn Malik – auditioned separately before Simon Cowell and guest judge Nicole Scherzinger asked them to compete as a collective, there their journey began. Harry Styles came up with the name for the band ‘One Direction’ and also shortened it to 1D. They achieved third place in the competition but that was not the end for them, they had already became famous because of the TV show in UK.

The boys were all set to rock and released their debut single in September 2011, “What Makes You Beautiful”, and was a commercial and international success. It reached number one on the UK Singles Chart. Up all night, Gotta be you and One thing were the more songs which were released that year and had crossed the mark of fastet selling album in year 2011.

In September 2012, “Live While We’re Young” And in November 2012 ” Take me home” and Little things was released, and was a global success. It reached the top ten in almost every country it charted in. All this songs are so much close to our hearts that if we hear them we could just go crazy and sing along , that much impact these guys were making on their fans through their music.

“Best Song Ever”, the lead single of the group’s then-upcoming third studio album Midnight Memories, was released on 22 July 2013. The song is their highest charting single in the US to date, reaching number two. It broke the 24-Hour Vevo Record with 10.9 million views on YouTube !!! The best song ever was really the one of their best songs, watching and hearing them singing together is so much of fun. And people just wanted to know more and more about them and so One Direction: This Is Us, a 3D documentary and concert film about the group directed by Morgan Spurlock was released  on 30 August 2013. The film was a box office success, topping the UK and US box offices and grossing over $60 million worldwide, and became the fourth highest-grossing concert movie.

On 8 September 2014, One Direction announced their fourth studio album to be titled Four, set to be released on 17 November 2014. Their every song was a hit and reason behind it was the connectivity of people to their songs. They just went on going stealing everyone’s attention. “Steal My Girl”, the album’s lead single, was released on 29 September 2014, receiving critical acclaim for its classic rock sound. The second single from the album, “Night Changes”, was released on 14 November, which was really changing the nights of these boys with more and more success and fame.

We by then thought that this band is forever now, it’s going to be with us but our hearts broke when we came to know on 25 March 2015 by an announcement that Zayn malik was not going to be the part of the band anymore.  The group made their first official public appearance as a four-piece on The Late Late Show with James Corden on 14 May, where they confirmed that they would continue working without a new fifth member.On 31 July 2015, the group released “Drag Me Down” which was again a big success. In October, another single, “Perfect,” was released. It reached the Billboard top ten. All these songs are just above explanation. Later Made in AM was released on 13 November 2015.

They say we can’t deny on what life has decided for us. Some where we knew that the band is incomplete even if single musician among them leaves it. And one day Louis Tomlinson l confirmed that the break of the band would be around 18 months.By May 2017, all members of the group had released solo singles.Despite saying the hiatus would last 18 months, the band still are yet to confirm when they will reform. We all just are eagerly waiting for the reunion of 1D.

On July 2020 this amazing pop band completed ten year and still One Direction is the same way in our hearts as it was before, though they might have changed their paths but the destination to our hearts for them is the same and will remain the same forever. #10yearsof1D was celebrated all over the social media and the band members were overwhelmed and thanked all the fans for the immense love and support through their social media handles. The band are currently in the process of making a 10-year anniversary video to mark the milestone. According to the band’s PR firm, Simon Jones, the video will “document highlights of the band’s career, from forming on The X Factor to releasing their single ‘History,’ including clips from music videos, performances and candid behind the scenes video content.The video will also explore the “special relationship” the band have with their fans. Until the video comes out all we want say is – We love One direction!
