Sandeep Bhaiya: A fictional character turned into a Motivator

TVF web series always comes up with its unique content and never fails to give their audiences life learning lessons from it. Recently TVF’s new web series ‘Aspirants’ has won the hearts of many viewers and has become the ‘Talk of the Town’. Especially, the series has influenced many aspirants who are giving competitive exams.

TVF’s Aspirants consist of five episodes which was released on Wednesday 7th April on its YouTube channel. Every Wednesday new episode was released and the season finale was aired on 8th May. The story is about three friends Abhilash, SK and Guri who prepares for UPSC Exam in Rajendra Nagar, Delhi. And further it revolves around their past and present life, in conclusion it is about the struggle of cracking UPSC exam. The three lead characters have a strong presence in the show, but to our surprise the one who have stolen the heart of the audiences is none other than Sandeep Bhaiya, the side character of the web series.

We always ignore the performance of a ‘side character’ and gives our attention to the lead characters.

However in TVF’s Aspirants more than the lead character, the side character ‘ Sandeep Bhaiya’is being loved by the viewers.

The reason behind it is , Sunny Hinduja who has played the role of Sandeep Bhaiya with its brilliant acting that the whole social media is appreciating his performance.

No doubt, in TVF Aspirants all characters have done their job well. Salute to the makers who have fabulously done direction, screen writing and performance. Sandeep Bhaiya is portrayed has focused, calm and hardworking. Its just like a next door person with whom everyone can relate. He touches the middle class life and its values. He wants to make his parents proud by becoming an IAS officer.

In the story, Sandeep Bhaiya is the senior aspirant who inspires the junior aspirant in cracking UPSC exam. Especially Abhilash is a great fan of Sandeep Bhaiya’s determination towards the UPSC exam. Whenever Abhilash has difficulty Sandeep Bhaiya always finds a way too help him out like a mentor. Sandeep Bhaiya is experienced and has seen various shades of life more than aspirants around him.

The first time we get to see the most wise, confident looking Sandeep Bhaiya has vulnerabilities. As the show progressed, we come to know about Sandeep’s back story and emotional turmoil. He was hailing from a financial distress background.

At the end of the series, the viewers hearts were broken when they came to know, despite four years of hard work, Sandeep couldn’t crack UPSC and he finally gave up. Sacrificing four years of your life for your dream and achieving nothing can surely shatter a person into pieces.

Why the viewers connected to Sandeep Bhaiya easily?
• Though his role was short, but his acting was pure. His dialogues were meaningful and filled with maturity.
• Concerned about the family and decides to study on his own, instead of joining coaching classes.
• Sandeep Bhaiya is not a character, but he is an emotion and voice of every lower middle class UPSC aspirant.
• Down to earth guy who handled failure quite well and has sacrificed a lot in UPSC journey, whether it was leaving his government job or postponing his marriage with Kusum.
• Even though after failure, he took it on his self respect and cleared PCS and became Assistant Labor Commissioner.

We all want that one person in our life like Sandeep Bhaiya who acts as a mentor, guide and big brother and is always ready to show us the right path whenever we are stuck in some situation.

After Jeetu Bhaiya from Kota factory, Sandeep Bhaiya from Aspirants is one of the best character that TVF has and it will be forever cherished in our heart. Kudos to Sunny Hinduja who played the role of Sandeep Bhaiya to extreme precision.
