1.Glenn Maxwell in T20 series in Australia in 2016

Chasing the target of 184 against India Aussies looked in good form, especially Maxwell show could have ended the match in a hurry. However, Indian skipp, when behind the stumps had other ideas. Brought Yuvi in, Maxwell missed the ball and he was down the track when Dhoni wasting not a second, took the bells off in a delectable way.

2. Keemo Paul, Ind vs West Indies series, October29, 2018

The smart work of Dhoni behind the stumps. Dhoni with his lightning fast stumping removed Keemo Paul off Jadeja’s delivery in 28th over of the match. In the remarkable stumping, Mahi took only 0.08 seconds to effect the stumping, thereby beating his own record for the fastest stumping( against Australia’s George Bailey). This stumping was so quick that even Jadeja was unsure as to what happened behind the stumps when leg umpire went up to third umpire!

3. Jonathan Trott in ICC Champion’s trophy Final, 2013

This is one of those brilliance of Dhoni behind the stumps. Trott playing on 20 before Ashwin got him stumped. It was complete plotted dismissal by Mahi. Ashwin even revealed this in live session with Raina ” I still remember mahi bhai came to me and said ‘Trott ko over the stumps se mat daalna sirf round se daalna. Woh leg side mai khelne jaayega agar ball ghoomega to stumping ho jaayega.” The same scene were happened when Ashwin bowled the next delivery down the leg, though its wide but Dhoni’s quick gloves behind got the bells off and eventually India won that trophy!

4. Mustafiqur Rahman, India vs Bangladesh March 23, 2016

Dhoni again with his lightning quick reflexes and super sprint, crushed the hopes of Bangladeshi cricket fan as he ran out Mustafiqur on very crucial final delivery and knock out Tigers out of the T20 World cup ’16. With 2 runs required from the last one ball, Pandya bowled a short ball offside the off stumps which Shuvagata missed. Dhoni, who had already removed his right gloves to be able to throw properly, collected the ball and instead of going for direct-hit he ran like flash with unbelievable speed and removed the bells, beating Mustafizur by a few inches away and India won by a run!

5. Sabbir Rahman, India vs Bangladesh March 23, 2016

Everyone was stunned by the kind of smartness he showed in this dismissal. This could be on the top list of his stumpings. When Sabbir missed the ball Dhoni consciously waited for Sabbir to lift his leg, slightly slowed down his swing of arm and he lift off the bells with very narrow bandwidth to wait. If he was little quick or little slow, batsman is in. But the microprocessor mind wala Mahi had his own calculations and got him out!

6. Ross Taylor, India vs New Zealand October, 2016 Ranchi

Playing on his home ground, Mahi sends Ross Taylor into dugout with magical no-look runout. Delivery bowled by Umesh Yadav, Tayler pushed it to deep fine squarish leg where Dhawal Kulkarni collected a ball and throw to Dhoni. Dhoni had to move towards ball to pick it up fast. He picked it and then threw it back to the stumps without even looking back in a swift action. A blinder runout by Dhoni showed again his agility and smartness behind stumps.

7. David Warner India vs Australia July, 2018

Dhoni took a stunning catch to send dangerous looking Warner back to pavillion. Delivery bowled by chinaman Kuldeep Yadav, a flipper one Warner tried to cut but ball took a kiss of Warner’s bat and moved towards Mahi where he took a stunning catch behind. Looking at speed of both bat and ball, this catch seemed impossible but Mahi with his fast reflexes made it possible!
