Built quality of a vehicle matters

Usually people think that if they are sitting in any car they are safe because a car is a car at the end of the day but all the cars are not safe here’s a little bit of info regarding car safety

While buying a new car people usually choose the car which is offering the best features in that particular prize tag. And many car makers are now offering plenty of features in their cars. So people can easily choose their car. But if a car maker want to give those features n luxury n that premiumnes they have to cost cut in some aspects of the car. N many car makers usually cut the cost in the built quality

Built quality n safety are some features which we cannot see like a big touchscreen or a sunroof or a reverse parking camera those gimic features. That’s the reason usually people ignore the built quality n safety of a vehicle.

If a vehicle is built strong its weight also increases by some margin n that weight decreases the performance n the mileage. Best example for this is the maruti swift. One of the most highest selling car in India. Swift is built like a tin can as a result it’s weight decreases performance increases and it can easily give 25 kmpl of mileage that’s the reason it’s the most highest selling car in India.

Now comparing Maruti Swift by a very successful hatchback from tata which is Tiago. Tiago is built like a tank. Tiago has proven it’s built quality hundreds of times. We shared an accident of a Tata Tiago.

Tata Tiago has scored 4 stars safety ratings in this crash test performed by Global NCAP. In fact Tata Tiago is one of the safest car under 10 lakhs

This Tiago was crushed by a huge truck its weight was around 20 tons. If you ask a normal person he will tell that the occupants inside would be dead at that point. This accident was dangerous that it took 5 hours to remove the Tiago under the truck. The car was badly crushed by the heavy truck. After removing the car it took another 1 hour to remove the driver from the car. And the driver was alive with minor injuries. This was unbelievable that how Tiago handled this much weight n kept the passenger safe. If this was another car the chances of survival would not have been too much. This accident really shows the structural integrity of Tata cars n the level of safety they offer.

Yes I know that Tata cars have less mileage. Yes I know Tata cars offer less features as compared to competition. Yes I know Tata motors engines are not refined. But at the end of the day you are sitting in a 4 star global NCAP rated car (Tiago). Safety should be our first priority while choosing a car. And specially Tata and Mahindra are doing a great job in terms of safety. Mahindra XUV 3OO, Tata nexon and Tata altroz are the safest car running on the Indian roads today which have scored 5 stars in global NCAP.

While choosing a new car our first priority should be safety. If you get less features you can get them in 3rd party shops you can get everything even sunroof, big touchscreen, some design elements etc. but you can’t buy safety anywhere

After this incident Tiago owner thanks Tata for building such a safe car and he says that he was thankful to seat in a Tata car

We should encourage other brands like Maruti, Honda, Kia, MG to bump up their safety
