BEST AMERICAN SITCOMS
Agree or not, American sitcoms are the best. It includes all emotions nicely cooked and well served with a bit of sarcasm and a pinch of reality check. All the shows are loved by the people and watching them will also make you to love them as content speaks! To be correct, most of the best content from the American sitcoms were brought in during the 80s and the 90s and therefore, most of the content in our list is from the 80s and the 90s.
1. FRIENDS :
Talking about popularity, I need not prove it about this show. Everyone knows that this has to be the number one American sitcoms of all time because hype and craziness tells it all. The life of 6 friends tangled in between life, love, work and comedy. Their story started from 1994 and continued till 2004. The end of this show has still not dropped any fan following nor decreased the views. In fact, it has grown much more during the lockdown. HBO max claims to shoot a reunion of friends this month, which they had been postponing for quite a long time due to the COVID-19 pandemic. This show is globally available on Netflix with a total of 10 seasons and 236 episodes.

2. Brooklyn Nine-Nine :
The main theme plot is set on the 99th precinct of the Brooklyn borough of the New York city. The story revolves around the life of 7 cops, all of them fighting day and night to make Brooklyn a better place to live. Jake Peralta, one of the main protagonist of the series, a talented and a puzzle solving maniac, but and immature cop who often gets into trouble and also brings the trouble back to the nine-nine. Their story started airing on 2013 and is going on till now with NBC announcing the 8th season to be it’s last and to be aired next year and not this year, which did made the fans sad. Their story is currently available on Netflix and currently consists of a total of 7 seasons and 143 episodes.

3. How I Met Your Mother :
The theme is set on Ted Mosby and his group of friends in New York City’s Manhattan. As a framing device, Ted, in the year 2030, recounts to his son, Luke, and daughter, Penny, the events from 2005 to 2013 that led him to meet their mother. This series has won a lot of awards including the people’s choice awards for favourite Network TV comedy. It’s currently available on Disney+Hotstar with a total of 9 seasons and 208 episodes.

4. The Big Bang Theory :
The show is originally centered on five characters living in Pasadena, California: Leonard and Sheldon, both physicists at Caltech, who share an apartment. Penny, a waitress who lives across the hall and their similarly geeky and socially awkward friends and co-workers, aerospace engineer Howard and astrophysicist Raj. The show basically displays the life of some geeky friends living their life. It is currently available on Netflix with a total of 12 seasons and 279 episodes.

5. The Office :
A mockumentary sitcom TV series depicting the everyday lives of office employees in the Scranton, Pennsylvania. It is an adaptation of the the 2001-2003 BBC series of the same name, being adapted for American TV by Greg Daniels. It aired on NBC from 2005 to 2013, lasting a total of 9 seasons and giving us a total of 201 episodes.
