Failure.

Yesterday Teacher’s day was celebrated in India (i.e. on 5th of September). It is celebrated in the memory of Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan on his birth anniversary. He believed that teachers have the best minds in the country. I think not only a person can be a teacher but also qualities teach us many things in its own hidden ways. I have had many great teachers, their knowledge was restricted to only their subject but failure taught me lessons in every walk of life. I believe noone taught me as much as failure did. Failure is and always will be my greatest and wisest guru.

Failure is all encompassing. We only know the worth of success after experiencing failure. The perseverance you show throughout the process helps you build a thicker skin to stay at the zenith when you finally achieve success. No matter how many times you face it always remember it is just trying to create a better and more capable version of yourself.

“Fear is the no.1 motivator.” Whenever you fail you doubt yourself and might even lose faith but their always is atleast a tiniest bit of you who believes in you and cares about your reputation so the fear of facing failure again makes you strive harder the next time. According to me fear makes you a fighter, a survivor, which no inspirational speaker or movie can make you. But only if you realize that fear is wisdom in the face of danger you might respond poorly. So don’t let fear manipulate you, make it your strength to make it guide you.

You might have lost the fighting spirit now but you were a fighter, everyone is as you didn’t start walking the first time you attempted then did you give up, are you still crawling? NO, you kept trying and in no time you started running. You must have burnt your fingers the first time you lifted a hot vessel but only after burning them you got to know the right way, you must have fallen off your bicycle while learning but then you got up to now race bikes, didn’t you? It isn’t wrong to fail, it is necessary!

Thomas Edison a great scientist failed 10000 times before inventing bulb, the greatest discovery which brightened all our lives. He quotes,”I have not failed. I have found 10,000 ways that won’t work.” Every time he failed he learned more and moved on without giving up. He further quotes “Many of life’s failures are people who did not realize how close they were to success when they gave up.”

Courage is all it takes to make failure your teacher. Failure always teaches a lesson, if you learn the lesson you haven’t really failed but if you take failure as a dead end then you have truly failed!
