Mehar Sindhu Batra: A vision that became a torch bearer .

Mehar Sindhu Batra is a career coach who educates students and young career professionals. She is the founder of MSB Vision which is a guiding light for students who are looking to build their career. She is also a traveller, a chartered accountant and an impactful human being.

Interesting conversation with Mehar Sindhu Batra:

1) We would like to know what this success looks like and how it feels to be loved by  so many of the individuals you’ve guided.  

Mehar Sindhu Batra: I feel extremely grateful to get so much love and be in a position where I can share  my knowledge and help students and young adults to accelerate their careers. Reading  success stories and messages of people who have been positively impacted by my  content and mentorship sessions fills my heart with happiness and gratitude, which  reinforces my belief in MSB Vision every single day. 

2) When did your start your career as a career coach? 

MSB: What started with a side hustle in 2019 by making one YouTube video, is now my full  time career! 

3) What difficulties did you encounter while working overseas as an immigrant?  

MSB: The ways of working in India vs the UK is very different. I believe, in India things are  more hierarchical whereas in the UK the corporate structure is comparatively more  fluid. Initially, I struggled getting used to the way of communicating as well as facing  imposter syndrome of being from another country! Later, I tried my best to embrace  my uniqueness and grew more confident in just being myself. 

4) What gave you the inspiration to begin your YouTube channel? 

MSB: I am obsessed with social media! When I thought of helping students, the idea of  recording a video to upload on YouTube came naturally to me. YouTube is a platform  that is accessible worldwide, which is why I believed that it could be the best platform  to start publishing to talk about my career failures and successes to benefit others as  well. 

5) What gave you the idea that you must assist others on their journey?  

MSB: When I was younger and at a stage where I had to choose a career for myself, I didn’t  have anyone who could mentor and advise me on my career decisions. Therefore, I  felt the need to be there for students and adults who don’t have a clear direction  regarding their careers. My aim is to steer them in the direction of career options that  complement their skills, passions and talents. 

6) What future plans do you have for MSB Vision, and how will they benefit  students?  

MSB: We have exciting things planned for MSB Vision. We plan to be more accessible on  platforms that we haven’t tapped into yet to make a positive impact on so many more people. Students should watch out for our upcoming tools and resources! They’ll  definitely help them. 

7) When did you start MSB Vision and what all difficulties did you face during the  growth of MSB Vision?  

MSB: I started MSB Vision in 2019. At the time, I was working full time in the UK and  MSB Vision was a side hustle. “Where” and “how” to begin creating content on  social media was the main difficulty. But once I pushed myself to just start, I couldn’t  stop coming up with ideas to create content around. 

8) So, you have travelled more than 28 countries so how was your experience  travelling so much and what is the best part about travelling?  

MSB: It’s 30 countries now, haha! Travelling gives you tremendous exposure to the world  and quenches your curiosity. You learn something entirely new at every juncture of  the journey, that builds up your knowledge and makes you view the world through  different perspectives. If you ever get an opportunity to travel, just go for it! 

9) Lastly, what is one message that you want to give to your followers and well wishers?  

MSB: I would genuinely like to thank everyone who has supported me throughout my  journey. I’m so grateful to have such a positive audience who send me the sweetest  messages. Thank you so much for your love and support and I’m always here for you  as your mentor and friend!
