Suyash Tilak : Syncing with himself and following passion!
Suyash Tilak is an Indian film, television and theatre actor working in the Marathi film industry and Bollywood. He was well known as “Jay Khanolkar” from a daily soap “Ka Re Durava” and his Character Shantanu Sadavarte from an ongoing popular daiy soap “Shubhmangal online” is ruling our hearts.
We have seen him in many theatre shows. We all know him as Amit from Classmates, Nikhil from Coffee Ani Barach Kahi. Recently we have seen him as Mangesh in Bollywood movie Khaali Peeli. He was also seen in recent Marathi movie- hashtag Prem as lead actor known as Malhar Kulkarni. He has done lots of movies, daily soap and theatre so far.
Suyash Tilak was born in Pune itself. He completed his graduation from Fergusson university. Son of Mr. Vishvajit Tilak and Mrs. Uma Tilak , he says about them that “they are my gurus and everything in my life.” Moreover talking about Suyash, he is an environmentalist and a likes animal lover too. He is very passionate photographer too. Suyash believes in not giving up, chasing dreams and breaking the comfort zone to be happy in life.
We had an awesome interview session with him and love to share his interview with you people. We wanted to know him closer and here we tried to do so.
1. Was acting your forever passion ya waqt ki koi gheri saazish?
Suyash:
“Acting was my forever passion. The theatre always fascinated me and being on the stage was always my passion.”
2.How this pandemic has treated you physically, mentally and emotionally?
Suyash:
“It has taught me a lot of Important lessons, which I am
Never goanna forget. One has to be in sync with one’s own self to be able to survive any tough day.”
3. Which was the first role you played in theatre or on screen, which holds something special?
Suyash:
“I was in standard 4th and I played Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj in one my school gatherings it is still a very special memory for me.”
4.Recently you were seen in Khali Peeli, everyone wants to be a part of Bollywood and how was your experience?
Suyash:
“My experience was amazing. Maqbool Khan the director and Adil Afzar DOP both of them were the coolest people to work with. Ishaan, Ananya were very friendly and helpful it was real fun doing the scenes with them. And of course Jaideep Ahlawat sir- he was absolutely amazing and inspiring.
I think the entire team made it special for me.”
5.You have done many films and serials so far, which is your favourite film and serial and why?
Suyash:
“ This is much difficult for me, I can’t choose one. Because all of them have a part of me.”
6.Who is your favourite from industry or someone you consider as a role model?
Suyash:
“Actually I do have many favourites and considering any one as role model is very difficult. I do take and learn values from the people I admire but it will be hard for me to call anyone a role model.”
7.What was your experience while struggling in the initial days ? Did you thought that this would come so far.
Suyash:
“Talking truly I never thought that. The struggle is never ending here, there are lot of brilliant actors doing exceptional work and amazing new talent coming up. I can only keep working harder and try exploring new ways to express the complexities and emotions of the characters that are offered to me.”
8.How does it feel to be more Shantanu Sadavarte then Suyash Tilak ?
Suyash:
“It’s a very complex character and I’m having a great time exploring it on a medium like television. Which is usually woman centric but Shantanu is a character that has his own emotional and sensitive side which is real fun showcasing. Shantanu has given me Most difficult scenes to perform.”
9. Do you watch yourself on screen what are your thoughts on it?
Suyash:
“Actually, not much. I like to hear my director or the audience and then study on the character more than self-praising/watching myself.”
10. What message would you like to give to your supporters and fans ?
Suyash:
“Keep loving and keep blessing. Take care of yourself and loved ones. As this too shall pass.”
