There are times when we all want to get rid of our hectic life and our busy schedule and move to a peaceful place away from the hustle and bustle of the city.In today’s competitive and stressful life all we want is peace inorder to live a stress free and blissful life.There is nothing more rejuvating than a peaceful place with a beautiful view and no noise.Here are a list of 10 peaceful places in India which will give us the much needed serenity and mental peace.

1. Silent Valley National Park:

It is located in the Western Ghats.The main entrance is at Sairandhri.This place is free of noise pollution and one can find different types of animals and birds.The main attraction are lion-tailed macaque and also the Malabar giant squirrel.

2. Champawat:

This place is located in the Kumaon region of Uttarakhand.On one side there are hills and on two sides there is water.The place has some of the best natural beauty which is worth a look.The Shani Temple in this place is very popular.It is known as Manokamna Purn Mandir Kaula.

3. Dzukou Valley:

This beautiful valley of flowers is located at the border of Nagaland and Manipur.This Valley has some of the rarest varieties of exotic flowers.The meadows,streams and the natural caves are absolutely beautiful.

4. Agatti Island:

This is a part of the Lakshwadeep Island in the Indian Ocean.The lagoons,palm groves,and the clean beaches are one of the best places for a romantic vacation.

5. Sarnath:

This is a beautiful place which is located close to the holy town of Varanasi.This is the place where Lord Buddha gave his first sermon.This place has lots of greenery and the stupas,viharas,Ashoka pillars in the museums are amazing.

6. Kudle:

Located near Gokarna in Karnataka,Kudle beach is a pristine,spectacular beach perfect for those who want to just chill away from the hustle-bustle.The long-shore with golden sand makes for a great walk in the cool breeze.The sunset is simply spectacular and the fact that the beach is not as crowded as the nearby Om beach only makes it better.

7. Nongriat:

Cherrapunjee in Meghalaya is a popular tourist attraction and one if its wonders is the double decker living root bridge in Nongriat.These bridges made out of roots of trees sometimes take as long as 15 years to complete and once done,can take the weight of as many as 50 people.They tend to get sturdier as time goes by.It takes 3-hour trek across some beautiful views and shaky bridges to get to the double-decker living root bridges.Once here,we will forget about the rest of the world and only get immersed in the beauty,serenity and magic of nature.

8. Silent Valley National Park:

Located in Kerala’s Palakkad region,the Silent Valley National Park is known for its ecological diversity.The Kunti river that flows through it amidst green hillocks adds to the stunning natural beauty of this place.The ambience inside the park is simply majestic making it ideal for a peaceful vacation amidst nature.

9. Majuli-Assam:

Nestled amidst the Brahmaputra river,Majuli is an unexplored tourist destination in Assam.Majuli is also the largest river Island in the world.This pollution-free land is breathtakingly beautiful for us to escape for some relaxation from our busy life.

10. Umiam Lake:

Umiam Lake,a beautiful man-made reservoir is situated 15 km north of Shillong.The lake was shaped after a dam was developed to produce hydroelectric power.Due to the dense coniferous forests surrounding it,natives comes to the lakeside to collect twigs and woods and leaves while the local fishermen use their canoes to float on the still waters to catch fish.The panoramic view of the East Khasi Hills all around the lake will provide some of the most gorgeous landscapes,one is going to come across in the entire life.
